This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Hour Tracker iOS application and visit the marketing website at hourtracking.online. We aim to be upfront, respectful, and predictable about privacy—especially for pay and work-related records.
What Hour Tracker helps you do
Hour Tracker helps users record work shifts, calculate hours—including overtime scenarios where applicable—summarize pay cycles, estimate earnings, earn optional achievements or badges (including selective social sharing features if enabled within the product), export reports for personal bookkeeping, and keep the experience focused and privacy-conscious by design on device.
Information we may collect
The types of information processed can include information you voluntarily enter—such as shift times, hourly rates where you choose to supply them for estimates, achievements, nickname or friend-connection details where those product features exist—plus limited technical diagnostics if you opt in or if the operating system provides crash reporting through Apple-controlled channels in accordance with your device settings.
- Information you provide. Work schedule entries, hourly rates where you optionally enter them for on-device totals, optional profile elements you choose to add, exported files you explicitly create, or messages you send to Support.
- Automatically collected data. Basic diagnostics like app version, device type, and crash signals may be processed through Apple-provided tooling when enabled; this site intentionally avoids intrusive third-party trackers by default.
How we use information
We process information as needed to:
- Operate core features (shift tracking, summaries, badges, estimates, exports)
- Maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability
- Respond to lawful requests where required
- Communicate with you when you contact trackedhours@gmail.com
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with service providers that help us run infrastructure (for example, hosting or analytics that you explicitly enable later, if added) subject to strict contracts, or where law compels disclosure. Social sharing surfaces only operate on content you proactively choose to share within the product.
Retention
Retention timelines depend on the feature: most work data resides on-device unless you explicitly sync or export it. Backup copies may persist according to Apple iCloud behaviors you control. Email to Support may be retained as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill your request and maintain records of trust & safety.
Your controls
You can revisit in-app toggles tied to badges, notifications, backups, analytics (if surfaced), exports, or account-like features whenever they ship. Users in certain regions may enjoy additional statutory rights—to request access, deletion, portability, objection, correction, or appeal—depending on geography and Apple's role as storefront operator.
International users
Operating online services may involve processing in multiple countries where privacy laws differ. We apply reasonable safeguards aligned with applicable regulations and Apple's platform requirements when distributing through the App Store.
Children
Hour Tracker is not directed to children under 13 (or relevant age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have unintentionally gathered such data, contact us promptly so we can delete it where appropriate.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Meaningful revisions will include a refreshed “Last updated” notice on hourtracking.online/privacy and, when required, supplementary notice inside the app.
